Clickable Slideshow: Shopify Dawn Theme

I’m new to Shopify and it was such a nightmare finding this – and by finding this I mean NOT finding this and having to figure it out myself – that I figured I’d buck the norm and put this out there for the benefit of everyone else.

All I wanted when I started designing my Shopify store was a clickable banner at the top of my homepage like any normal website has. But I couldn’t find any good tutorials on it, even if I found things close to what I wanted, and what I did find was behind a paywall. A whole app to subscribe to or pay for that’s just going to slow down your website for what SHOULD be basic functionality.

The Dawn theme for Shopify is GREAT, I’m not saying it isn’t, but it is a little ridiculous to me that this feature wasn’t available for free online somewhere. This is a pretty standard, basic feature.

UPDATE

I’ve updated the Free Clickable Slideshow for Dawn 12 as well as fixed some issues it had.

I also created a premium version with text tools for SEO and style as well as a second custom section called an Icon Tower! I’ve moved them all to my Shopify store. Here is the new link to the Shopify Custom Sections:
